product spotlight: genius

Guys, Arbonne has been killing it in the new product department this year. I mean it! I'm thrilled to review their newest treasure, Arbonne Genius!

I feel qualified to say that since I've known about the brand for about 7-8 years now.

I've been highlighting products for several weeks now and so far none of them are among the ones introduced just this year. But I'll get there. I promise!

Starting today.

Arbonne Genius

Genius was just released on September 1. There is so much goodness about this product, but I promise to do my best to keep it short and sweet and not word vomit like I did in yesterday's post.

What the heck is Genius?

Genius is awesomeness in a jar. I like to be relatable when I talk about Arbonne, and honestly, I've had a hard time describing this one in plain English. It's a nightly resurfacing product that has been proven to show results in as little as two weeks.

What kind of results?

Well, my friend, this is where the awesomeness begins. All kinds of results - for all types of skin! If your skin is dull, uneven, discolored, wrinkled...Genius can help. If you have acne scars or visible pores...Genius can help. If you in any way are wanting to improve your skin, Genius is for you.

How do I use it?

Every night, you wash your face (seriously, kids, you should be doing this anyway. Your results will be infinitely better if you are washing your face! I am a twice a day girl, but at the very least, do it once a day- at night!) with your Arbonne cleanser of choice. Genius works with all of our skincare regiments! Then take one of your Genius pads (it comes in a two month supply, so you have 60) and rub all over your face and neck. Continue your skincare regiment (eye creme, night creme, etc.).

*on a side note, some consultants have used this on their hands or other areas where they have discoloration and are reporting results there as well!

Arbonne Genius

How does it work?

I have to get scientific here, sorry. Genius is a retinoid product...but a botanically based one, so you won't get the dryness and side effects that are common in other retinoid products. In Arbonne's own words:

"Arbonne proprietary high-performance complex Phytinol™,combines two botanical extracts, Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) Extract and Chicory (Chicorium intybus) Extract, which work synergistically, to help promote improved skin tonicity and surface smoothness for an even, less-lined look, to fight the visible signs of aging."

Does it really work?

Arbonne won't let me share before and after photos that aren't of people I don't know. I'll be sharing my mother in law's soon - she is almost two weeks in! However, I can share the results of our clinical trial and those numbers speak for themselves:

In 2 weeks:
•  100% showed improvement in the appearance of skin moisture,
firmness and elasticity.*
•  82% said they loved how the treatment was less irritating than
a chemical peel or exfoliating scrub.**

In 8 weeks:
•  100% showed improvement in the appearance of depth and width
of wrinkles and fine lines.*
•  80% showed significant improvement in skin clarity and blotchiness.*
•  82% said after using this product, they found their skin to be softer
and smoother.**

*Based on a clinical instrumental study of 50 subjects
**Based on a 4-week consumer perception study

So, in short answer...yes.

Shortly after Arbonne released Genius, they announced a companion product that I am thrilled about! I will be discussing it this Thursday at Southern Beauty Guide, so be sure you're following her so you don't miss the post!

What would you change about your skin if you could? Chances are, Genius can help! If not, Arbonne likely has another solution and I'd love to find it for you!
